As an Acceleration Specialist, you will determine what value may exist of innovation concepts in varying phases by working with customers, dealers, and the Product Management team and, where applicable, progress concepts into products or phases that can be incorporated into commercialized solutions.

Role & Responsibility

Innovation Concept Development & Evaluation

  • Assist with concept and MVP testing through an agile approach to maximize speed of development and learning
  • Foster an environment to grow an idea and iterate when necessary to create an optimal solution based upon information, data, feedback received
  • Document and analyze concept feedback and provide recommendations for enhancements or changes
  • Provide input into idea canvas when required and relative changes or iterations based upon feedback received
  • Provide customer insights, observations, and requirements assumptions in the discovery and believable phases of development, update assumptions and validated requirements throughout the development process
  • Execute to the defined prioritization methodology to evaluate which ideas are the strongest
  • Gather and share internal, dealer and/or customer feedback of ideas or concepts to ensure rapid advancement or halt the concept/project
  • Gather data that will be used to summarize VOC activities
  • Provide inputs to potential business hypotheses and associated testing methods
  • In conjunction with Customer Insights, initiate and/or participate in market and product research activities to understand customer and dealer needs (Survey, Customer Visits, Focus Groups, Dealer Visits)
  • Collaborate with respective product specialists to gather insights on concept requirements
  • Support activities and events to test hypothesis either in the field or via survey to gather required feedback
Innovation Trend, Competitive and Industry Awareness
  • Be aware of trends and developments in innovation
  • Share with team potential links of new technology to customer needs
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate competitive technology and innovation progress
Customer and Dealer Engagement
  • Work with customer insights and product management to understand the customer segment that is desired for certain activities and events
  • Work with sales and dealer channel to ensure feedback from a variety of dealer types is considered
Concept Management - Development and Hand-Off
  • Collaborate with product management throughout project to determine product incorporation into roadmaps, launch methodology (limited, AMP kits, full production, etc.) and timing
  • Support Innovation Council activities by providing research summary and business case inputs

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing, Management or equivalent
  • Experience Required: 2>5 Years
  • Travel Required: 25-50%
  • Analytical skills to evaluate and understand data, and provide recommendations on processes and product design
  • Utililize audio and video recording equipment to capture interactions with customers, dealers and products
  • Technical/analytical skills to effectively build and administer technology solutions, evaluate and understand data, and provide recommendations on processes
  • Ability to think outside the "box" and a strong desire to stay on the cutting edge of technology and innovation strategies including evaluation and implementation of new tools/process
  • Record of success in previous data collection and analysis
  • Training/facilitation experience with ability to evaluate and utilize multiple tools to stimulate creative thinking
  • Bobcat product knowledge, preferred
  • Previous construction or agriculture experience, preferred
  • Previous agile project management, preferred
  • Previous experience in conducting research, analyzing and interpreting data, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing demands
  • Ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals at all levels across the organization and external to the company
